It is taken for granted that an applicant is proficient in English (applicants for our German offices are expected to be fluent in German too) and that he/she has outstanding IT and programming skills.
On the technical side, an applicant is expected to be familiar with at least one of the following subjects: mathematical statistics, numerical analysis, simulation techniques (e.g. Monte Carlo), optimisation methods (e.g. simulated annealing), financial mathematical modelling. Beyond that we are looking for individuals who work well in a team and who are able to communicate effectively both with their peers and with senior employees both of d-fine and of our clients. Work experience in trading, treasury or risk management can be an additional advantage.
As a prospective d-fine employee you can look forward to working with similarly talented and motivated colleagues. You will have the opportunity to extend your knowledge of financial mathematics through participation in courses at leading international universities and the chance to work with a wide range of clients from specialized hedge funds to industrial conglomerates to universal banks. More importantly, you will find that there is great scope for personal development and that you may assume real responsibility for work at an early stage in your career.
We look forward to receiving your application.
